CLANDESTINE is the name of the studio project of the two passionate artists Peter Fleschhut and Thomas Gäbhard, who travel through the wide area of
melancholic Pop music. They wrap bizarre lyrics into peculiar and complex sound structures including all electronic influences of the 1980s and 1990s.
In the meantime a female vocalist joined the band. Her skilled voice enriches the songs, which can be described as a mixture of New-Wave, Electro-Pop
and Trip-Hop.
Live on stage they sometimes are supplemented by additional guitars, like at the Feierwerk Underground festival in 1999.
Some of their contributions to compilations especially pleased the DJs: So their cover-version of David Bowie´s “Starman”, for example, was favoured much more
than that which Philip Boa published at the same time. Their song “Suzanne”, which was published on the compilation CD “Essence of ConSequence Vol.2”, both hit New York´s college charts and the DJ charts of New York´s famous Limelight club.
Publications: Various compilations.
